Inspired by California’s arid landscapes, this backyard was reimagined as a serene xeriscape retreat, balancing sustainability with modern outdoor living. The transformation began with a cedar plank fence renovation, establishing a warm, natural backdrop for the space. A custom-built cedar greenhouse and chicken coop complement the raised garden beds, crafted from sturdy yellow cedar to support productive gardening. At the heart of the design, a sleek cedar deck wraps around a luxurious swim spa and fire pit, creating an inviting hub for relaxation and gathering. Drought-tolerant succulents, grasses, and native plantings offer year-round texture and color. The result is a low-maintenance, high-impact oasis that merges function, style, and ecological responsibility.
